The Nation of Islam was founded in Detroit, Michigan by Wallace D. Fard Muhammad in July 1930. After Fard’s departure in June 1934, the Nation of Islam was brought to greatness in the USA by Elijah Muhammad where it continues to flourish but it began with ISLAM and Muhammad (c. 570 – June 8, 632) based around the Quran also transliterated Qur’an, Koran, Al-Coran, Coran, Kuran, and Al-Qur’ an, which is the central religious text to support their belief in The Oneness of God, centred in Mecca, Saudi Arabia where Muslims from all over the world gather to pray in unity and promote peace!
The Universal Zulu Nation was founded November 12, 1973 by Afrika Bambaataa and is the oldest, largest, and most respected grass roots Hip-Hop organization in the world. It is an Organization of people dedicated to improving and uplifting themselves and their communities by hosting canned food drives, tutoring sessions, home and building clean-ups, starting mentoring programs, neighbourhood protection, holding seminars, conferences, creating newsletters, magazines, selling and writing books, putting together concerts, and developing programs that close the gaps between the generations and the sexes while in search of success, peace, knowledge, wisdom, understanding and the righteous way of life. The Miami chapter is a charter that opened sometime later and is composed of South Florida Amazulu.
The Heavy Legacy Foundation Inc. is a Domestic Non Profit Corporation that became active May 2012 in Miami, FL. Its active officers include Eliezaire Bassette, Ivan “Mr. Tricks” Rodriguez, Rodolfo Sablon and Ian Welsch. They are dedicated to providing a variety of educational and artistic outreach services to underprivileged and underachieving children and young adults in low income communities. They provide a foundation to help uplift them from their current economic and underprivileged conditions. In addition, this is Incorporated through art and music into their day to day educational programming which has been found through research to greatly enhance the educational experience and also produce productive and well balanced adults for better economic and all around growth and a better future.
